Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Mezza Luna Pizzeria at (919) 303-6686; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, mezzalunapizzanc.com.

Apex is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Apex follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I absolutely love this place, the staff is awesome and very friendly. Same people every time so it feels like family. The dining area is very small and a lot of business in pickup so there is a lot of traffic through the dining room. I do recommend eating in as it's part of the experience, just be aware of the notes traffic. The food is delicious, I have tried a lot of items on the menu and never had a bad item. I believe the price matches the quality and taste of the items and never felt expensive for what I got.

Culinary grad looking for great food. This one just isn’t it. Tried 3 different pizzas in 2 days. The grandma’s pizza was the better of the 3. Which brought us back for day 2. Day 2: The Sicilian was the worst I’ve ever had. It barely had any cheese, not a lot of sauce either. Felt like I paid to eat plain dry pizza dough. My child looked at it and decided to pass and not eat at all. The other pizza we ordered was fried eggplant, ricotta and basil. I guess we should have said topped with fresh basil after cooking. The eggplant had no flavor it was very thin, dark, looked fried in a fryer possibly with older oil, ricotta used lacked in texture and flavor. Won’t be back. Was really hoping for a great spot.

My boyfriend and I just moved to the area from Asheville and we have been looking for a great pizza spot for awhile. Looks like we finally found it! Service was fantastic- we felt right at home, plus the Sicilian style pizza we had was amazing! We will be coming back asap!!

A couple of days ago we ordered pizza from Mezzaluna. We got a Cheese Pizza and a Barbecue Chicken pizza. Both were really good β€” nice, thin crust. As for the Barbecue Chicken, I’d say it’s my favorite after Hawaiian. It was honestly really tasty. Not overloaded with BBQ sauce like a lot of places do β€” everything felt perfectly balanced. We’ll definitely be ordering pizza from them again.

I’m not a pizza fan but this was good pizza
